Very rare and early Placer County mining stock (identified in bottom left corner). No. 18, issued for 50 shares to James Freeborn in SF in 1867. Signed by president G. Roberts and secretary Colburn. Not cancelled. 25 cent revenue stamp at left. Pinholes, folds. 5.25 x 9.75" Our consignor notes that this company operated at Gold Run. The Placer Herald (April 20, 1867) mentions they have the "largest and finest mill in the State."
