Gold ring recovered from the S.S. Central America shipwreck in 2014 from the port-side debris field, Coin Pile #20. It is size 7.75, with a flat central area that bears traces of a blue and blue/white enamel in the engraving. One shoulder also has this blue material embedded in the engraving which is missing in the similar design on the opposite side, 5.24 grams (0.168 ozt). Additional enamel inlays were common during the Gold Rush period throughout the world.
