Reverse has initials DNC, as well as residue from once being glued in an album. 2.25" x 3.5" Howard Engine Co. No. 3 was organized June 14, 1850 and located on Merchant Street. A listing of its 1855 members include D. Canary, possibly our fireman with DC initials? Their equipment included Hunneman No.379 (in 1851) that was destroyed in the 1906 Earthquake & Fire.
