Wide World Photos print of the U. S. shipping gold to France via the S. S. Normandie at Pier 88, North River. This was the U.S. first sale of gold since March 2, 1936. The photo was used by the Baltimore Sun and is black and white, 9 x 7 inches. Also an original "Notice to Passengers" enforcing the President's Order of non-export of gold issued to passengers heading overseas, preventing them from removing gold from the United States. The executive order was issued March 10, 1933. Unissued, 8 x 7 inches.
