An absolute masterpiece 14kt gold and spiderweb turquoise bracelet custom made for our client designed and created by master Navajo jewelry craftsman Tom Willeto of Laguna, New Mexico several decades ago. This stunning piece has gorgeous platelets of spiderweb turquoise and several inlaid red coral pieces complementing the overall aesthetic beauty. The piece has an overall weight of 48.3g (1.55 troy. Gold weight approaches 0.90 troy). The inside width of the piece is 1 31/32", the inside length is 2 1/2". Willeto's custom stamp is located in a place of prominence dead center on the back side. Willeto's classic work is known throughout the southwest as some of the finest. His shop was prolific in silver-turquoise creations, and this gold bracelet is certainly a gem creation, unarguably among his all-time best work.
Gold with turquoise is a stunning pairing. It was long ago prized by Egyptian royalty, inclusive of Tutankhamen, prominently displayed on his gold mask. In modern times, gold and turquoise jewelry was popular around 1900-1920, but perhaps became too expensive for the average person, so not much is seen since then.
This is a world-class prize for anyone. The "wow" factor is "over the top."
