Boyle Tunnel Mine. Contains hydrothermal gold and silver ore (silver sulfides). 8.86 troy ounces. 5.5 x 7.5 x 5.0 cm. Como was first mined in the 1860's. It saw a rebirth after 1900 when young mining engineer Ed Boyle found a faulted extension of the ore zone. Boyle went on to become governor of Nevada. The tunnel was named in his honor. This is another nice specimen with high grade visible gold in the cut. Some areas are very strong. Choice. Date: Location: Como, Nevada HWAC# 46677
