Golden Wedding/ Rye/ Carl Nolllenberger/ Leadville Colo. Back bar bottles from American West mining camps are exceptionally rare. They are so rare that most of the time they never appear in antique bottle reference works. This bottle has fluted shoulders, apparent flint glass construction, wear on the base inclusive of a small chip. The block style letters are professionally etched. Small scratch above the word "Carl." Light wear and stain on the surface. Under a microscope, it has the appearance that the letters may have been highlighted in a white paint typical of the c. 1890s period. that paint is now essentially gone. This bottle is clearly one of Bracken's prized possessions.
