Lot of 3: one stock certificate and two fabulous early promotional brochures from the company. The 1910 Mines Directory lists the company as owning 12 patented claims and having a 1/3 interest in five others, but not much development done. 1) Inc. in Arizona. Stock certificate No. 188, issued to William Reynolds for 1,200 shares in 1906. Signed by president M.M. Van Fleet and secretary P.E. Houlette. Not cancelled. "Mines at Goldfield, Nevada" printed beneath fancy logo. Gilt border and seal. Staple holes on the side. 8.5 x 11" Folds. 2) c. 1905 Large brochure/prospectus, "Goldfield Mines are Greater Every Morning" on cover, title page "Goldfield, The Most Amazing Camp on Earth." Printed by the Goldfield Ledge Mining Company, Exchange Building, Denver, Colorado. This brochure has numerous black and white pictures (many showing ore stacks outside of mines) and promotes Goldfield as "Another Cripple Creek." This becomes clearer when we realize that the company president, Van Fleet, is a former Cripple Creek mine owner. Also has a 1905 report from Thomas Withers, C.E., from Goldfield, a two-page map of the claims, and two-page panoramas of the town! Also a report from George F. Ober, mining engineer. 20pp. Staple binding. Some toning to pages, chip to front cover, back cover partially detached, the map and panorama are loose (possibly as originally presented). 11.75 x 8.75" 3) Different prospectus, smaller, same cover title "Goldfield Mines are Greater Every Morning."Also c. 1905/1906, though different corporate officers are listed. H.W. Havens is now president (previous prospectus listed Van Fleet). Color wrappers, 24pp. with printed photographs. Also sings the praises of nearby Tonopah. 9 x 4" Light wear to covers.
