Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona was the Republican candidate for president in 1964, but lost to Lyndon Baines Johnson. After Goldwater's running mate, General Curtis LeMay promised to bomb Vietnam "back to the stone age," Johnson releases a TV commercial of a little girl with a flower watching a nuclear explosion. The final electoral vote tally was: 486 to 52. This particle board blue and gold sign is 48 x 12 inches.
