8.0 grams native gold and copper nugget. Goler wash is an important locale, discovered by California '49er John Goler (Goller) who crossed Death Valley in 1849, as one of the Death Valley Argonauts. While the original 1849 location was 'lost", Goler and partners returned to the region until they found it again. See Gudde, p137. A small mining camp emerged from the desert here, called Goler, about 1900. It is about 7 miles from Randsburg in the middle of ... nowhere ... in the Mojave desert.
