Lot of 10, issued 1865-1866. These are the green Bank of California checks that list WC Ralston as treasurer. Four are signed by Charles Bonner (1865) and six are signed by Louis Janin (1866) as superintendent. All have a US IR stamp attached. This was the beginning of a tough time for the Gould & Curry, and the Comstock overall was approaching a decline in the late 1860s. The Gould & Curry had experienced a boom earlier in the 1860s.
