Lot includes: 7x mining deeds. Six of the mining deeds are from in and around La Porte, Plumas County, California, the last is from Gibsonville, Sierra County. Three of the deeds were sold by Hector Forbes. Most of the deeds have a Gould family member associated with it, i.e. J.S. Gould, Cordelia Gould, Alberto Gould. One deed is for the Monitor Mining Claims, sold by Edward N. Sager to H.G. Reed. Dates range from 1887 thru 1903; 1x property deed, in which Lot 5 of Block 5, in La Porte, was sold for $110 by Geo. W. Chamberlin (as executer of the estate of Aaron Harris, deceased) to A.T. Gould; 1x personal business-style card for Helen Gould, ornate print of red, pink, blue flowers and face of small girl; 1x picture postcard of the Ladd House in Redlands, addressed to Mr. Arthur Gould, La Porte. Has green, 1-cent, USP stamp, cancelled; 1x American Forests and Forest Life envelope, addressed to Mr. A.E. Gould, Forest Service, Blairsden, Calif. Postmarked Washington D.C. on November 15, 1927. Red, 2-cent, USP stamp attached, cancelled; 1x USA Office of Price Administration, Sugar Purchase Certificate, Serial No. C37048122, dated July 7, 1942, certifying that Viola B. Gould purchased 28 lbs of sugar. Signed by G.P. Thomie(?); 1x State of California Controller's Office, Sacramento, certifying that land belonging to Viola B. Gould was sold June 30, 1927 to the State of California for delinquent taxes from 1926-27. Signed by R.L. Rilly (controller); 1x Letter of Admistration from the CA Superior Court. Los Angeles County, recognizing Milton E. Pike as executor of the estate of Mary Gould Pike, deceased. Dated March 2, 1932. Garvis Collection.
