Lot of three. 1) Sacramento, November 3, 1869 receipt from D.W. Earl, forwarding and Commission Merchant, and wholesale dealer in flour and grain, Nos. 109 and 111 Front Street. To Gould and Curry, V.C. for shipping 100 boxes of mining candles. D.W. Earl also had branch offices at Reno, Wadsworth, Argenta and Elko. Steamship vignette, printing done by Crocker & Co. 8 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches. Mr. Earl, a freight contractor, operated a string of wagons drawn by 10 to 18 mules. The wagons operated between mountain towns of California, the Comstock, and along the Central Pacific route. 2) Unused 186- Lamping & Co.'s Express.
