Graciela Rodo Boulanger was born Graciela Rodo Aparicio in 1935 in Las Paz, Bolivia. Her artwork is characterized by round-faced figures engaged in activities and often features stylized renderings of children. She generally employs a muddy background and primary color scheme in her art. Her work has been shown by the Art Gallery of Lincoln Center and featured in the hall of the UN General Assembly. Boulanger designed the International Year of the Child poster for UNICEF in 1979, and her painting was featured on a stamp by the World Federation of the UN Associations in 1993. One of the most sought-after, widely loved, internationally renowned artists of our time, Boulanger's popularity in the art-world cannot be overstated. While her work is very well-known, unmistakeable and widely distributed, her lithographs and numbered prints consistently hold their value with 4 figure price tags across the board, while her original pieces are priced in the range of luxury cars and single family homes. It is unlikely you will see another opportunity to own an artist proof from Graciela Rodo Boulanger any time soon.
