Early! No. 114, issued for 100 shares to Henry R. Treadwell on August 6th, 1864 in New York. Signed by president L.L. Sturges and secretary Jno. Stanton Jr. Not cancelled. Black border and print, fancy title and rare surface mining vignette. 25 cent US IR stamp attached at left. Folds, dog-eared corner, very fine. 5.5 x 8.75" According to Hollister (1867), this company had similar employees as the Alps GMC. The Granada had 800 ft. on the Mackie Lode on Quartz Hill. They had 4 shafts (44-175 ft. deep) and an ore vein 8 inches wide. In addition, they had 3 shaft houses and an engine house.
