A distributed mintage of 300 silver examples make this a rare example of the Indian Peace medal series, but far fewer than that number have survived, Produced at the bloodiest times of the Indian Wars, these historic relics are a chapter of America's history. This medal also has the distinction of being the only Indian Peace medal upon which the name of the President does not appear.
