Nice looking blue on white specimen for the Granville Gold Company of New York. Incorporated in New York. This mine was located two miles southeast of Vein Mountain in McDowell County. [Burchard, 1882] Balch [1882] reported that the mine was a placer deposit in gravels that were mine hydraulically. The company had ditches 20 miles long and a sixty foot head of water. Fine condition. Two holes at secretary and president lines. Some staining on corners. (Be sure to see the stock certificate from the same company in this sale.)
