The Grapevine Mountains run a length of 22 miles on the eastern side of Death Valley along the state border. Most of the range is in eastern Inyo County and is part of the Death Valley Monument. Some gold was recovered at one time from Grapevine Canyon, which is in the north end of the Grapevine Mountains in Inyo County. Scotty's Castle, for many years the home of Death Valley Scotty is located in Grapevine Canyon. A rust mark from an old paper clip at top left, otherwise VG+. Uncancelled.
