Cert. #292, issued to Davis Pearson for 1000 shares. Signed by Edward C. Hughes as president. Inc. in A.T. Offices in San Francisco. Location of Mines: Greenwater, Inyo County, California printed on the masthead. Lands, 6 claims, adjoining the Furnace Creek Copper Co., showing a gossan up to 40' wide, giving assays of 3.6 to 37.9% copper. Sounds great but the company was idle by 1908 (Copper Handbook). Death Valley was seized by a copper frenzy according to Lingenfelter in his classic, "Death Valley and The Amargosa". Heralded as "the greatest copper belt the World has ever known!" George Graham Rice called Greenwater "the monumental mining-stock swindle of the century". Small chit missing from top right corner, otherwise fine. Uncancelled. City: Inyo/ Death Valley State: California Date: HWAC# 51225
