Includes one hand-cast .36 round ball:
a. Bronze two-cavity (round ball and conical bullet) mold, .31 caliber, likely for use in pre-Civil War pocket pistols (such as the Colt Model 1848 Baby Dragoon).
b. Bronze two-cavity (two round balls) mold, also .31 caliber.
c. Iron single-cavity round ball mold, marked “60”, with integral sprue cutter, .36 caliber for use with such pistols as the Colt Model 1851 “Navy”, a very popular sidearm with Civil War Cavalry troopers.

From the Dick Reyes Collection, Carson City. It is unknown by the family if these bullet molds were part of the original Custer family artifacts. They were not in the "Custer Box" that contained small articles. City: State: Date: ID# 38043
