Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroad dinnerware (25) in the Rose Pattern. Collection includes 9" soup bowl, (3) 6.5" saucers, an 11" service platter, 7.5" salad plate, a 3"x 3" double egg cup, (2) 4.5" bowls, a 4.5" covered soup cup, a 5.25" saucer, (4) 7"x 6" service platter, (3) 10" plates, a 4.5"x 6" teapot, a 4"x4" creamer and (5) 4.5" juice glasses. All are in very good to mint condition with no apparent cracks, chips, utensil or stacking wear. The back stamp reads Syracuse China.
The Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroad (1938-1952) was a Class I railroad in the central United States whose primary routes extended from Mobile, Alabama, and New Orleans, Louisiana, to St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri, as well as Chicago, Illinois.
