This lot has fourteen reference books of gun collecting from the 1940's-1950's. The reference materials cover early gun manufacturers, cartridge makers, and early Kentucky pistol gunmakers. The prices of the guns listed of course are no longer relevant. There is "American Antique Guns and their Current Prices" by Martin Rywell is great references for gun makers, marks, and list of gunmakers by alphabetic index. "Thirty-Five years Scrap Book of Antique Arms" by F. Theodore Dexter covers early guns and powder flasks. Two Canadian Journals of gun collecting. The "Catalog Fire-Arms Collection" United States Cartridges Co. covers makers marks and all military guns including the Civil War. There is the ARCA Arms Quarterly featuring and index of patents on revolvers issued in the USA from 1833 to 1925. by Col. Calvin Goddard about 1950. "The American Arms Collector" issue July 1958 is a great reference on Confederate swords and Sam Dyke writes about collecting Kentucky rifles. There are two catalogs one from Ray Riling, another from Robert Abels. "The Gun Collector's Handbook of Values" by Chapel 1940; "American Firearsms" by Van Rensselaer 1947 solid binding; "English Pistols & Revolvers" by George 1938 rag edge construction in very good condition; "The Gun Trader's Guide" by Wahl1953; "The Fireside Book of Guns" by Koller is well illustrated 1959 solid binding.
