This is a gun belt and holster combination in black leather for about a size 36 in. waist, right side carry. The holster is of the F.A. Menea design of Cheyenne, Wyoming design (commonly referred to today as a Cheyenne rig) with a closed end at about 5 in. The studding matches both the holster and belt with a liner added to the belt at some later point and a soft deer skin liner on the holster to protect the gun. The holster itself shows very little carry wear from a gun but the belt shows wear with the loops reinforced with added stitching as a repair or reinforcement. There are about 40 bullet loops for a small caliber, (somewhat less than .45 cal.). The holster appears to be made for a revolver with less than a 5 in. length. C. 1900 est.
