Lot of 2 different. 1) Silver Ridge Mining Company. Inc. in Colorado. No. 104, issued for 300 shares to Mary Hallett in Colorado Springs in 1885. Signed by president J.L. Marston and the secretary. Not cancelled. Simple design with black border and print, Colorado state seal vignette. Folds, light wear. 6.5 x 10.5" Not listed in C&L. One reference found in an article in the Salida Mail newspaper, June 28, 1884: the company owns the Fourth of July claim on Treasury Mountain in Gunnison County and have recently hired a superintendent. 2) Randall Mining Company. Location of Mining Property: Lake, Summit, Gunnison, Hinsdale & San Juan Counties (printed under vignette). Inc. in CO. No. 16, issued for 24 shares to Emma Dennett in 1881. Signed by president Larimore and secretary Johnson. Not cancelled. Black border and print with two mining vignettes. Pinholes, folds, repaired corner. 7.75 x 11" Not in C&L. Rare. Owned the Prince Albert Lode (Leadville Daily Herald, March 22, 1883).
