This is a autograph cut from John Franklin "Homerun" Baker. It is signed J. Franklin Baker. A third baseman for both the Philadelphia Athletics and the New York Yankees (1908-1922) and lead the American League in homers from 1911-1914, thus acquiring his moniker. It was the "dead ball" era and Baker hit only 96 round trippers in his entire playing career, but that was an amount that was thought to be unbeatable, until a guy named Ruth came along. Baker played his entire career at third base.
he was elected to the Hall of Fame by the veterans' committee in 1955. Philadelphia Pennsylvania
