This is a stat list put out by the Elias Baseball Bureau called "The Little Red Book of Major League Baseball" circa 1958. It lists all-time batting leaders from the 1870s. The piece measures 3"x 7" and Cobb's signature is at the top. What makes this document even more interesting is Cobb's written comment with regards to homerun statistics was not anything he was "addicted" to and draws an arrow down to the list that shows him as the all-time hit leader with 4,191 and a lifetime .367 batting average. He played angry and it obviously, it worked for him. He is a member of the inaugural group inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame, garnering more votes than the second place inductee, Babe Ruth. This is a VERY UNIQUE piece of baseball memorabilia.
