1872. Interesting exquisite document. It is for $500 and indebts the Hamburg Iron Company to Gideon Sontag, Jacob k Spang and Wilson F Kaufman. Payable in four years. Back says interest paid to November 1, 1872. No more notations! Signed by president John Ralston. Vignette of what I assume is the company. Hamburg Iron Company eventually was merged with other iron companies to form the Hamburg Rolling Mills. Large 13 x 16". Dog ear bottom left and small tear top right. Otherwise - great condition.
