This is a hand carved sailing ship most likely crafted during a voyage by a sailor during idle hours. This was the type of item he could use in port to trade for alcohol or some other items not available to him aboard ship. This model is in 1/8th scale, measuring 21" long, by 14" tall. It is made from clock parts, with the masts and spars fashioned from tobacco tins. It is mounted on a crate wood base. There is some damage, expected for a piece this old, but it still retains its historical nature and would make a great display,
