1) Handwritten letter and cover dated May 1, 1878, postmarked Walnut Grove but addressed to Mt. Vernon, Arkansas. (3) cent postage stamp. Please see photos for more detail and condition. 2) Correspondence from Kansas Major H.T. Beman dated July 7, 1876 inquiring about the enrollment of Eli Pearce in the State militia.
