The Buckskin post office was open from 1865 to 1937. Park County. It was Park County's county seat from 1862 to 1867. County seat moved in 1867 when the mines had all played out. The well known John Parsons was an assayer here. Double rate two 3c stamps to New York. Helbock list the rarity as an 8.
