Very rare. Reese River Mining District (printed above vignette). Inc. March 15th, 1864. No. 24, issued for 36 shares to EM Crane on May 2nd, 1864 in Austin. Signed by president E. Dickman and the secretary (illegible). Not cancelled. Black border and print, vignette of mine in the mountains. Printed by JP Le Count & Co. 25 cent adhesive revenue stamp attached on the left. Deep folds with some holes, toning, creases.4.25 x 8.5" Not in Filer or other Holabird indexes. The company is listed by J. Ross Browne (1867) as having produced one ton with an average value of $87.19 per ton (for the quarter ending Sept. 1866). Raymond (1871) says they own the Harding & Dickman Mine located on Lander Hill, with a 90 ft. shaft, but the mine is idle (pg.130). No mentions found on CDNC or newspapers.com.
