Scene shows two miners panning for gold on a river. 19" x 32".

These four mirrors all come from the Harolds Club Museum in Reno, Nevada. They were commissioned in 1949 by Harold Smith to commemorate the California Gold Rush. They hung in the room where he kept his firearm collection and in other rooms in the museum. They are reverse glass mirrors. Most of these mirrors were auctioned by Butterfield & Butterfield on June 4, 1994. These four pieces were purchased directly from the Smith family from the consignor. Some mirrors have some chipping at top corners and some have some miner chipping on edges.
