This lot consists of four different volumes of Harper’s magazine with articles on Colorado. Volume 35, June to November, 1867, (with a duplicate) has an article on the Great Plains to Colorado, as well as articles on the mines of Mexico. Volume 39, June to November, 1869, has the article Photographs from the High Rockies (lithographs, actually), which chronicles a photographic expedition around the West that includes the Truckee River, The Comstock, and the Carson Sink. The Volume is an excellent early primary research material for the advanced Colorado historians.
