Created by Medallic Art Company to commemorate statehood for the 50th State. Spero Anargyros of San Francisco was the sculptor. In original box with original paperwork. The sterling silver medal is 136.7 grams and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The medal was struck in gold, silver and bronze. This silver medal mispelled the island Niimau as two words. The mistake was corrected midway through the mintage. This is number 127 of the approximately 3000 made, and one of the 30 percent that had the spelling error.
