The headlight from PC 4725, S-Class Electric Locomotive. This is a very historic headlight for an older locomotive engine built for the New York Central and Hudson River RR by General Electric in 1906. The engine was rebuilt and renumbered over the ensuing years. A full story of this headlight comes with the lot. In the 1920s the obsolete arc type headlight was replaced with a "more modern" Golden Glow and renumbered NYC 125, where itr kept this number for the next 30 years. After merger between NYC and PRR into Penn Central it was again renumbered in 1968 for the last time to 4725. In 1978 the engine was scrapped and the headlight removed. And now it can be yours. In beautiful condition and marked as described. Comes with two binders of info on the railroad, the locomotives and pictures of the lamp mounted. In Excellent condition. No crack in glass or breakage of hardware. Mounted in a stand for display. This is a large, heavy item. 2. Emergency Notify sign for N.Y.C.C.R.R. Co. Excellent condition.
