Another great Borax stock from the Prag Collection. Incorporated March, 1883. No. 24, issued for 1 share to M.B. Kellogg on March 3rd, 1891 in San Francisco. Signed by the vice-president Coleman and secretary Newton M. Bell. Not cancelled. Eagle over shield vignette. Printed by A.J. Leary, SF. 4 x 9.5" Excellent condition! According to the Inyo Independent March 5, 1887: H.B. Spiller of Death Valley is the agent. Their property was 119 acres, known as Loc. No. 1 of the Ancient Lake Borate Mine, Death Valley Borax and Salt Mining District, Inyo County. According to Copp's Land Owner, Vol 13, 1886, the company worked the Winters Borate Deposit Placer and the Amargosa Borate Placer Deposit in Inyo County (pg. 23, pg. 196).
