Water bonds issued on January 1, 1925 for the construction of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir in Yosemite Valley for the San Francisco water supply. The document is for $1000 and signed by San Francisco Mayor James Rolph Jr, who was the longest serving mayor in the "City's" history (1912-1931) and later the 27th governor of the state of California from 1931 until his death in 1934. The bonds would mature in 1964. All are stamp cancelled. Please see photos for more details.
