Large specimen of copper oxide minerals, mostly malachite and chrysocolla surrounding a sizable blob of dark gray chalcocite (Cu2S). This would be high-grade copper ore. It was collected by the consignor's father when the mine was owned by Kennecott, so prior to the 1986 purchase of the Ray Mine by Asarco. Weight is 2.8 pounds, dimensions are approximately 4.5 x 4.5 x 3 inches.
