This specimen of high-grade, gold-silver ore comes from the underground Pinos Altos Mine in the mountains of west-central Chihuahua, Mexico. The handwritten label says this ore runs 2.7g/mT gold and 60.3g/mT silver. It is about 5.25 x 3.75 x 1.25 inches and weighs around 426 grams. Pinos Altos poured its first gold in July of 2009, but it is not known when the father of this consignor acquired this specimen.
