October 28, 1928. Stamped First Flight Air Mail, via Graf Zeppelin, United States to Germany. Stamps cancelled in New York, Wall Street. Includes a 10c blue, 15c brown and 20c green stamps. Also 8c green, 16c black, and 24c red air mail stamps. Large 5c Air Mail red & Blue. Two cent red prestruck "Molly Pitcher." 5c cent dark gray John Ericsson Memorial stamp. Carried by German Airship LZ 127 from Lakehurst, N. J. to Cottbus, Germany. LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin (Deutsches Luftschiff Zeppelin 127) was a German passenger-carrying, hydrogen-filled rigid airship that flew from 1928 to 1937.
