Sepia prints from the Philips Petroleum Historical Aircraft series. In the 1960's, these art prints of WWI and civilian airplanes were handed out at Phillips Petroleum gas stations along Route 66 as advertising premiums. In this collection are eleven plates of various airlines i.e: Benoist (seaplane), Los Angeles-San Diego Airlines (Bi-plane), Wilbur Fokker P.T.T. Air Service, Northwest Airways ( Bi-plane) and more. Each has some historical information on the reverse of each. Unmounted and each is very good condition.
