Group of correspondence and other documents, mostly related to the advent of sound pictures in Hollywood. Most of this correspondence is from Harold Lloyd Corporation and Paramount Pictures. These letter discuss the potential for sound pictures following the success of the Jazz Singer. It appears that Paramount Pictures was interested in making their own "talkie" at a location known as "Gasoline Alley." There is also another letter from the Stewart Film Process Co. Finally, this group contains legal documents related to a motion picture being made by the Investment and Productions Company, Inc. Some names that appear in these papers are Carl Voss, Oscar Staby, and Don Bowker. These documents are from a very important turning point in the motion picture industry. Good condition.
