Very attractive pass! No. 203, issued for 1896 to Frank Baker, general supt. of Addison & Penn. Railway Company. Pre-printed signature of president DH Newton. Countersigned by Walter H. Draper. Black, blue, and red print on blue cardstock with awesome vignette of locomotive leaving the East End of the Hoosac Tunnel (labelled). Very good condition. This railroad operated 25 miles from Wilmington, Vermont to Rowe, Massachusetts, 1886-1971.Popular nicknames for the HT&W included "the Hoot, Toot, and Whistle" and the "hold tight and whimper."
