Oak kitchen cabinet from the 1920s-30s. It has a retracting work surface and sliding tambour doors. In the early 20th century, this style of free-standing kitchen cabinet with a worksurface made by the Hoosier Manufacturing Co. of New Castle, Indiana, became generically known as a Hoosier. By 1920, that company alone had sold two million of these cabinets. This one is 41 x 30 x 72.5 inches. Worksurface is shown to the right in second photo.
