34 original mostly colored postcards and 34 duplicates of main Hopi Indian collection. Collection includes dancers, drummers, homes, families, colorful ritual attire, basket weavers and planting crops. Hopi tribe consisted mainly of village dwelling and farmers in northern Arizona. The Hopi ("peaceful ones) lived in isolated areas which helped to maintain their culture. Each Hopi village was divided into clans that is governed by a chief.
