Lot of twelve. 1) Weak Paradise Valley 1891. cc' for Alfonso Pasquale with historical background. He was a rancher and ran a hotel in Paradise Valley. 2) Nice 1911 R-3 Amos cancel. 3) Card from unknown location addressed to Miss Minnie Haas of North's Ranch. North's Ranch is an R-9. 4) 1907 Humboldt House on post card. 5) Early 1888 Lovelocks. 6) 1937 R-3 Sulpher. From a teacher rejecting the 1937 Pension Law for teachers. Teaches in Gold Ridge in Pershing County. 7) Interesting 1956 Unionville cancel. Last day cancel with a handwritten "Mrs. Jane Davidson, postmaster 1907 - 1956." Her mandatory retirement was a major reason that the post office closed. 8) 1908 Unionville with historical background on Sadie Talcott and L. Fellows; the two names on the postcard. 9) 1884 Winnemucca with a Charles Chenowith corner advertisement. Chenowith was an important person in Winnemucca opening a store in 1870 and was an educational leader there. 10) Hotel Humboldt, Winnemucca cc. Includes a letter about sheep - a stagnant market. Includes a sample contract. Background information on the Humboldt Hotel which had just been completed. 11) Golconda. 1900. cc' of Golconda Hot Springs. Matching letterhead. Letter is about getting the Republican vote out in Golconda and Winnemucca. Nice strike. 12) Winnemucca, 1904. cc' of Daily Silver State. Billhead is from the Winnemucca Publishing Company for $6.00 for a year's subscription to the Daily State. This was a Republican newspaper.
