No. 37, issued to I.A. Nadeau, general agent for the Northern Pacific Railroad in Seattle for the year 1901. Signed by the general manager. Printed on blue cardstock. Some soiling. Originally built in 1896 in Eureka, California for logging purposes, the steamer Humboldt was converted to a passenger and freight ship for the Klondike Gold Rush. An iconic 1901 picture shows it loaded with hopeful passengers leaving Seattle for the chance at striking it rich in Nome. (Prag Collection) City: State: Washington Date: Inventory# 39164
