Extremely rare. I.G.B. & Co. / $1.00 / O // (blank). Brass. Round. R12. 39mm. According to Murphy (1983), I.G. Baker & Co. held many important contracts, including supplying the Northwest Mounted Police in 1882, supplying beef to reservation Native Americans in Canada, and hauling mail between Ft. Benton and settlements in Western Canada. They were so powerful they beat out the famous Hudson Bay Company for contracts and over-stamped HBC tokens used in Indian trading.
