These are two commercially made ice fishing tip-ups. One is marked "Paul Holway"; it is not known if Holway was a commercial tip-up maker or not. An ice fishing tip-up is set with a line and bait into a hole in the ice. A flag is spring activated when a fish strikes your line. The fisherman is likely comfortable from the elements, and once activated by a fish strike to the line, a fisherman gently puts down his adult beverage and retrieves his fish. Please see photos for details.
