Classic Psychedelic Era postcards created from original posters for marketing purposes. All original 1960s cards - 5 out of 6 were mailed and include dated postmark, which guarantees authenticity. Unused print over runs are what are found for cheap sale on the web today, not the originals printed in the 60s for promotional purposes. Three 5" x 7" cards from Family Dog Productions on 639 Gough St. San Francisco, Calif. with 1967, 1968 and 1969 postmarks. 1) 1967 card with brown and red artwork is promoting performances by Big Brother & The Holding Co., Mount Rushmore, Canned Heat, and Mother Earth and Lights by The North American Ibis Alchemical Company. The venue location and proprietor are printed in the artwork "Sutter at Van Ness San Francisco" and "1967 Dennis Nolan" Ticket Outlets are listed at the bottom. It is No. 721. Good condition. 2) The 1968 card is rare, for August 23 performance at Avalon Ballroom by Chrome Cyrcus, Holy Modal Rounders and Pink Floyd with Lights by Electro Luminescense. The Poster is by Wainwright & Schnedf. This is version 1 of 3 with Family Dog logo on reverse and place for stamp. 3) The 1969 pink and orange card reads "Dance Moby Grape Concert / Avalon - The Charlatans - Feb 24 Fri 25 Sat / Ballroom - Sutter At VanNess - San Francisco - Lights - Van Meter Hillyard. Ticket Outlets are listed at the bottom. Artist signature printed on bottom right corner "Monero (?)" No. 491 Creases and fold marks. Three 1967, 7" x 4.5" cards "Bill Graham Presents" cards from the Fillmore Auditorium 108 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, California, two postmarked 1967. 1) Gold, black, and red card promoting Bo Diddley, Big Brother & The Holding Co., Quicksilver Messenger Service, , Plus Big Joe Williams with Lights by Headlights Nites. Visible tape residue and marks but no folds or creases. 6) Black and white post card mailed and cancelled w/illegible postmark printed by Family Dog Productions on 639 Gough Street San Francisco, Calif. for Avalon Ball Room performance Very Rare Original card. All this psychedelic rock memorabilia came from the Pierce Powell Virginia City Collection as Pierce was closely affiliated with the Red Dog Saloon "Summer of Love" scene that sparked the Virginia City music scene in 1965.
